Concordia University Wisconsin announces the approval of an accelerated business degree option within the Batterman School of Business.

Beginning in fall 2020 students are eligible to earn a Bachelor of Science in Strategic Human Resource Leadership in just three years instead of the usual four.

This program, the first of its kind offered within the school of business, is designed for students who know they want to pursue a career in human resource leadership and are eager to join the workforce or enter a graduate program as expeditiously as possible.

According to Associate Dean Matthew Hurtienne, PhD, “Effective and innovative human resource professionals are in extremely high demand.  The COVID-19 pandemic, new workplace regulations, and employee expectations have shined a spotlight on this profession and the need for quality leaders.”

Concordia’s Strategic Human Resource Leadership program is unique because it concentrates on enhancing the skills and efficiencies of employees and also explores concepts that utilize human expertise to strengthen organizational culture and effectiveness.

The duality of the program was important to Hurtienne who created CUW’s original program three years ago, and has fine-tuned it into this accelerated three-year option to meet the market demand.

Fast track students will spend their first two years on campus and will take summer classes and their third year online. Upon graduation they’ll be ready to join the workforce or enter a graduate program to earn a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Administration that much quicker.

Applications for the Strategic Human Resource Leadership program are now being accepted. For more information contact Professor Matthew Hurtienne.
