Congratulations to Corrin Charlson, a junior Psychology and Social Work major, and Samantha Salnave, a doctoral student in the Leadership in Innovation and Continuous Improvement program, students of the month for November!

CUW is pleased to honor two outstanding students every month, as this year faculty are selecting an undergraduate student and a graduate student as students of the month. Congrats to Corrin and Samantha!

Undergraduate Student of the Month

The CUW Faculty have selected Corrin Charlson as the undergraduate student of the month for November. Corrin is a junior double major in Psychology & Social Work. She is a strong student with a rigorous academic schedule. She brings a caring, Christian perspective to the classroom with energetic participation. She lives out CUW’s mission by engaging in service to Christ and her fellow students! She serves as the Director of Programming for the Falcon Support Network (planning large-scale campus events centering on mental health support). Corrin is also an RA in Chemnitz and co-leader for CORE, a weekly Bible study. She is an involved member of Psychology Club and Student Social Work Organization and an active participant in multiple CMLT ministries like Haven and weekly Faith Associate Bible studies. Corrin is committed to using her education to help others and make CUW (and the world) a better place.

Nominated by Dr. Rachel Pickett.

Graduate Student of the Month

The CUW Faculty have selected Samantha Salnave as the graduate student of the month for November. Samantha is a doctoral student in the Leadership in Innovation and Continuous Improvement program. She balances many responsibilities as a full-time K-12 administrator and graduate student. Where many students struggle with the independent learning associated with dissertation research, Sam is exactly the opposite! She pushes herself to research, read, and write as much as possible while working full time and taking a quantitative class at the same time. She also displays her commitment to Jesus and bringing faith into her life every single day. She regularly expresses her gratitude for our program because she can express her Christian faith in her coursework. Sam truly strives for excellence in mind, body, and spirit!

Nominated by Dr. Angela Walmsley.
