Dean Rennicke, Assistant Dean of External Relations

Niederjohn is thrilled to have Dean Rennicke as part of the team and says that his extensive business network, exceptional fundraising abilities, and dynamic leadership style—as well as his wealth of executive leadership experience—will assist in driving meaningful growth and engagement for the school.

Rennicke has spent the majority of his career life in a variety of leadership roles, primarily in sales and marketing at local companies like Kapco, Inc., the Lakeshore Chinooks, and the Milwaukee Brewers. However, as far as Concordia is concerned, he has been vice president of the Concordia Foundation since May 22, 2017—he’s approaching his 8-year anniversary.

He says he hopes to continue to connect regional business leaders with CUW’s talented faculty and staff under this new role. Ushering students into opportunities that help facilitate engagement with companies and leaders is the primary goal.

Rennicke says, “When companies hire our students, they are getting hardworking, talented, value-based problem solvers as employees.” He has been very fortunate in his past careers in sports, media, and manufacturing with his faith as his foundation. So it is without doubt, that he will continue to apply his faith in this new position.

Excited to bring Dr. Clark Griffin back on board, Niederjohn says Clarke was a highly regarded faculty member during his tenure at CUW.

Clarke’s focus will be on advancing all aspects of CUW’s undergraduate and graduate academic offerings for the business school. “His deep expertise in academic leadership, accreditation, and assessment will be invaluable as we continue to enhance the quality of our programs,” confirms Niederjohn.

Griffin is currently serving as Associate Dean for the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences at Gateway Technical College. There he provides comprehensive administrative leadership, manages dual credit initiatives, and oversees daily operations, including adjunct faculty recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation. He previously served as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs for CUW, and is excited for this new role.

“My primary responsibilities [will] include overseeing curriculum development and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, while actively fostering student retention and success,” says Griffin.

He continues, “Students today have numerous options when considering higher education, especially given the widespread accessibility of knowledge through generative AI. At Concordia University Wisconsin, we uniquely connect with students through the message of Christ, fostering a holistic business education aimed at developing ethically grounded Christian leaders for tomorrow.”

Delighted to have Dr. Bryan Bremeier continuing in a key academic leadership role, Niederjohn says Bremeier will ensure that CUW students “receive a world-class business education, positioning them for success in today’s competitive business landscape.”

Bremeier started with Concordia in August 2023 as chair of the Human Resources and Healthcare Administration programs. In August 2024, he accepted the chair role of the Marketing and Management programs. In September 2024, he was named interim assistant dean while new leadership was sought.

“At CUW, we are called to prepare students not just for careers, but for lives of impact,” says Bremeier. “With that, I am committed to helping our students become skilled professionals and courageous, ethical leaders.” Bremeier believes that in order to be successful in today’s competitive business world, an individual must possess more than ‘technical expertise.’

According to him, integrity, adaptability, compassion, and leadership—rooted in strong values—is key. Bremeier’s says his Christian faith is at the heart of how he approaches leadership, service, and of course, education. “I want our students to leave CUW confident in their abilities, grounded in their Christian faith, and ready to make a real difference wherever they’re called to serve,” says Bremeier.

This new role will focus on ensuring students graduate possessing real-world skills/experience, according to Bremeier. Students will also be encouraged to grow as innovative thinkers with a servant-leader mindset.

He notes, “I feel deeply called to cultivate a collaborative community where transformational Christian leaders are developed, leaders who recognize that success is not just about personal achievement, but about lifting others up and stewarding the gifts God has given them for the good of the world.”
