This year, more than ever, we're all in need of a bit of fun. Good thing your CAB leaders are up to the challenge of living in an event-limited world!
CAB stands for Campus Activities Board and its members’ jobs are to brainstorm, research, and organize various activities and events for the CUW undergraduate students’ enjoyment. They’re behind events big and small—from providing snuggly animals to cuddle with and relieve stress during finals week to tag-teaming with other departments on university hallmarks like Homecoming and Family Weekend.
Fun-loving leadership
The CUW student body is invited to apply for the CAB student executive team every January, with new board members announced in February. This gives the team ample time to start preparations for an experience-packed fall semester start.
This year’s executive board includes:
Andi Bridleman
Executive Coordinator
2022 grad, Nursing
People say Andi’s best quality is…very outgoing and hardworking, even if I don’t want to be!
Andi’s idea of a good time is…hanging out with friends and family around a campfire listening to country music
Andi’s “guilty pleasure” is…Criminal Minds: Behavioral Analysis Unit
Logan Decorah
Business Manager
2022 grad, Finance
Logan’s idea of a good time…riding his Harley, working out, or working on something mechanical
Logan’s guilty pleasure…JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure. (It’s the most unintentionally funny show I’ve watched)
Logan’s parents almost named him…Ulias
Shea Petersen
Marketing Coordinator
2021 grad, Hospitality & Event Management and Public Relations
Shea’s brand of humor…Vine or TikTok
Shea’s idea of a good time…painting, laughing with friends, or anything that has to do with music
If Shea would have been a boy, she would have been named… Caleb
Megan Haller
Communications Coordinator
2023 grad, Athletic Training
The show that best represents Megan’s brand of humor…Friends
People say Megan’s best quality is…her ability to listen to others
Megan’s favorite cheesy love song…“Can’t Help Falling in Love”
Overseeing the student executive board is CUW staffer Megan Theesfeld. Megan began part-time in January as Coordinator for Student Activities and Orientation for Concordia. Now, with a master’s degree newly under her belt, she’s on board full-time as of this summer.
Events, Events, Events
CAB’s bread and butter is its event repertoire, and they’re not letting COVID keep them down this year.
All events in 2020-21 have been purposely designed in a blended model, meaning you can show up in person (in limited, socially distanced numbers) or you can take in the fun online with roommates or your own curated groups.
Only two weeks into the fall semester and the event docket is full. Make sure to mark your calendars for these CAB-sponsored events throughout the semester…
