Congratulations to CUW’s April Student of the Month, Psychology and Justice & Public Policy major Kylie Nelson!
April 2023 Student of the Month
The CUW faculty have selected Kylie Nelson as the April Student of the Month. Kylie is a senior double majoring in Psychology and Justice & Public Policy. She excels both academically and in service, and her Christian character shines in her classes and in the community. She is currently interning at Advocates of Ozaukee, where she has gone above and beyond in Christian service of individuals who have experienced domestic and sexual violence.
For example, Kylie organized a community event in Cedarburg this past fall to bring awareness to domestic violence. She also coordinated a supplies drive and blanket/card-making event where CUW students donated personal items and created cards with Scripture passages of hope and comfort for survivors of domestic violence. In addition, Kylie is Vice President of Psychology Club. Her eagerness to learn, servant heart, and dedication to her vocation make her stand out as an exceptional role model for her peers.
Kylie was nominated by Dr. Rachel Pickett.
