There’s still time to enjoy the work of the late Charlene Nemec-Kessel, former associate professor of art at CUW, through March 24 in the CUW Art Gallery.

On October 4, 2023, our sister in Christ, Dr. Charlene Nemec-Kessel, passed away after a brief hospitalization. Dr. Nemec-Kessel served as a faculty member within the Art department at Concordia University Wisconsin since 2012. While we mourn her passing, we also take hope in God’s promise of eternal life in Christ.

My narratives record the life I observe around me. However, just as stories go through a metamorphosis each time they are told, mine evolve during the weaving.

Charlene Nemec-Kessel

In her memory, a collection of her work is on display in the CUW Art Gallery through March 24.
