Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor is working to accept all relevant incoming credits from displaced Concordia University Portland students—and is working to do so at a rate that's equal to or lower than what students paid at Portland.

In the wake of Monday’s unexpected announcement that the Oregon-based university will cease operations at the close of the spring 2020 semester, Concordia is working with representatives of The Higher Learning Commission, the accrediting body of the university, to facilitate the transfer of Concordia University Portland students as seamlessly as possible.

Concordia University Wisconsin is made up of two residential campuses in Mequon, Wisconsin, and Ann Arbor, Michigan, as well as center locations throughout Wisconsin and online offerings that reach learners worldwide. It is a member of the Concordia University System, a nationwide network of colleges and universities affiliated with The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Eight institutions make up the Concordia University System (with Portland’s closure it will be seven). Outside of Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor, each of the campuses operate as separate institutions with their own unique Board of Directors.

With 8,777 students spread out among Wisconsin, Ann Arbor, and online programs, Concordia University Wisconsin and Ann Arbor’s total enrollment count is the largest of any of the other schools in the Concordia University System. The university offers more than 80 undergraduate offerings and more than 30 graduate programs (including five doctoral degrees).
