Greg Brazgel, a teacher and head football coach at Lake Country Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin, will be honored as this year’s recipient of the Master Educator Award in Secondary Education at commencement exercises on Saturday, December 16.

A 1998 graduate of Concordia University Wisconsin, Brazgel took his team to the WIAA Division 5 state football title game last month, before losing a hard-fought game to three-time, defending champion Amherst, 28-21. Brazgel has been at Lake Country Lutheran since 2000, and has been instrumental in implementing the school’s master schedule.

He and his wife are active in the Wings of Angels at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, along with the Herma Heart Center. Brazgel started his teaching career at Lutheran West HS in Rocky River, Ohio in 1998.

Commencement begins at 1:30 p.m. in the R. John Buuck Field House on the university’s main campus, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, with nearly 600 candidates for graduation. Ms. Stephanie Glanzer, a 20-year educator currently teaching in a suburb of Memphis, Tennessee, is this year’s recipient of the Master Educator Award in Elementary Education.
