The Hesed Transition Program is a distinctive post-secondary initiative that empowers individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience the fullness of college life. Students live in integrated residence halls on the CUW campus and take courses that combine a liberal arts foundation with practical skill development.

Hesed Resident Assistants (RAs) play a vital role in supporting students’ success. Their responsibilities include coordinating structured programming during their shifts, leading Study Labs to assist with coursework, and helping facilitate events. RAs also complete two evening rounds per shift, ensuring students have cleaned their living spaces, and are prepared for the next day’s classes. In addition, they provide in-class support to help students fully engage in their academic experience.
