With the premier of their final productions this week, the Concordia Players are wrapping up an innovative season of unprecedented shows.

After their production of “It’s a Wonderful Life” earlier this month, the theatre department released two more holiday-themed productions this week. Scroll down to learn more and to enjoy the productions.

Christmas Shorts

“Christmas Shorts” is a collection of five, 5-10 minute Zoom-play adaptations of the classic Christmas short stories, “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry, “The Legend of the Christmas Tree” by Lucy Wheelock, “The Little Match Girl” by Hans Christian Anderson, “The Three Kings” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and “The Christmas Dream” by Louisa May Alcott. Collectively, they run about 50 minutes.

A Christmas Carol

The classic Christmas tale of a cold heart warmed by holiday cheer features the voices of the Concordia Players. In this radio production of the play, listeners can enjoy a beloved story as told by CUW students and special appearances by faculty members including Dr. Brian Harries and Dr. Lori Woodall.

Despite the seemingly impossible circumstances, the Concordia Players persevered to bring the joy of theatre to the Concordia community once again this year. These students worked countless hours and went above and beyond to create a memorable experience for their audience.
