COVID-19 didn't stop Concordia from starting new programs in 2020.
Within the past year, the university took steps to launch several academic offerings for all levels of learners.
Here are some of the latest additions:
—Bachelor’s programs—
Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science
Available: Online
Designed to be completed in: 4 years or less
Launched: Fall 2020
The Applied Computer Science program will help students launch or solidify a career in computer science. Applicants will learn how to code and will gain a foundation in the different aspects of computer science, including networking, artificial intelligence, databases, and cybersecurity.
Bachelor of Science in Business Analytics and Organizational Performance
Available: Online
Designed to be completed in: 4 years
Launched: Fall 2020
Business analytics and change management will prepare you to make data-driven decisions that enhance organizational performance, identify emerging markets, and solve complex business problems. You can apply these skills to specific areas of finance, economics, marketing, human resources, and more.

Change-management leaders help organizations generate, collect, and store information that is then analyzed for the purpose of maximizing productivity and ROI. You can apply these skills to specific areas of finance, economics, marketing, human resources, and more.
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science

Designed to be completed in: 4 years

As an environmental science major, you’ll develop a strong scientific foundation by studying a variety of topics in natural science, including biology, chemistry, earth science, and physics. You’ll also develop a strong foundation in the liberal arts by taking courses related to your major such as environmental law, environmental ethics, or environmental policy.
Bachelor of Science in Public Health
Available: CUW
Designed to be completed in: 4 years
Launched: Fall 2021 (accepting applicants now)
This degree offers a Christian perspective on public health and prepares you to serve Christ throughout the world as a globally minded citizen working to protect and promote the health of the communities in which you live. It is an engaging, multidisciplinary educational program filled with practical application opportunities to prepare you to be a strong, competitive candidate in the public health sector.

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Human Resource and Strategic Leadership
Available: CUW campus for traditional undergraduates (Post-traditional learners might consider CUW’s BA in Human Resource Management)
Designed to be completed in: as few as 3 years
Launched: Fall 2020
This program will teach you about important federal and state legislation, case law decisions, and executive orders that affect employment relationships. You’ll learn to analyze a compensation plan that identifies and describes plan objectives, salary structure, and fringe benefits.

Master of Science in Nursing—Healthcare Informatics

Designed to be completed in: as few as 2 years
Launch date: January 2021 (accepting applicants now)
This 30-credit program is for nurses interested in mastering data to make strategic decisions within healthcare. The MSN in healthcare informatics will teach you to use data to inform your decision making, elevating patient care and improving healthcare systems. A 200-hour informatics residency is a required part of the capstone experience for this program.

Post BSN to DNP
Available: Online
Designed to be completed in: 3 years (full time) or 5 years (part time)
Launch date: Fall 2021
By the year 2025, leaders in Nurse Practitioner (NP) education are recommending the doctoral degree for entry into practice. The DNP is rapidly becoming the standard preparation for advanced nursing roles. Concordia’s post BSN to DNP program is designed for the nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing who wants to reach his or her full potential and become a qualified family nurse practitioner or adult/gerontological primary care practitioner.
Bridge PTA to DPT program
Available: Online
Designed to be completed in: as few as 3 years
Launch date: January 2022 (Concordia is currently accepting applicants for the Bridge BSRS program which will ultimately funnel into the Bridge DPT program)
CUW’s new bridge program for Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) is committed to developing health care professionals who have a sound foundation in movement science and are prepared for safe, autonomous, and ethical practice as physical therapists. The bridge PTA to Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is designed for PTAs with at least one year of experience. Applicants with an associate degree can earn Bachelor of Science in Rehab Science (BSRS) and DPT degrees in 4.5 years. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree can earn a DPT degree in approximately 3 years.

Doctor of Business Administration
Available: Online (with two-week residency)
Designed to be completed in: as few as 3 years

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is the highest accredited business degree at Concordia University and the only one of its kind offered in the Greater Milwaukee area. The program is designed to address the current challenges facing companies, leaders, and teams in today’s business environment. Learners will develop scholar-practitioner skills as they learn from industry experts skilled in blending applied learning with theory development.

—Certificate and licensure programs—
Teacher of the Visually Impaired License
Available: Online (with summer residency requirement)
Designed to be completed in: as few as 2.5 years
Launched: January 2020
Concordia is the only university in the state to offer a visually impaired teaching license. Interested educators may apply for add-on VI licensure (#1825) only, and/or may obtain their Master of Science in Education—Special Education with a specialization in visual impairment. Applicants must have a current teaching license (in any field) to enroll. Students only have to take seven additional credits to obtain cross-categorical special education licensure along with the VI license.

Cross-Categorical Special Education Accelerated License (Wisconsin DPI 2801)
Available: Online
Designed to be completed in: 1 year (as a 16-credit add-on licensure program)
Launched: Fall 2020
Interested educators may apply for the add-on CCSE licensure only, and/or may obtain their Master of Science in Education—Special Education. The master’s in special education and CCSE licensure program may be completed in 2 years. Applicants must have a current teaching license (in any field) to enroll.
Opioid Impacted Family Support Specialist Certificate
Available: Online (through CUW and CUAA) with virtual experiential learning components
Designed to be completed in: 6-9 months
Launched: Fall 2020
Students who participate in this program will demonstrate increased knowledge and capacity to help individuals and families with opioid use disorders (OUD) or substance use disorders (SUD). Full tuition coverage for the 3-credit, 8-week online course and following modules is available thanks to a government-funded grant. The certificate program offers learners the flexibility to work self-paced through online course materials in the first six months of the course, followed by 48 hours of experiential learning opportunities at designated partner sites (in both Wisconsin and Michigan). Those who complete the program will be eligible to continue on into CUWAA’s tele-counseling apprenticeship training program which will launch in fall 2021.
