Connor Teske, who graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in May, is spending the summer studying for the CPA exam – he’s taken two of the four parts so far – before starting as an auditor for PwC in September.
Teske earned his undergraduate degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration in four years through a program at Concordia that enables standout students to earn both degrees in four years at no additional cost.
The school’s Business Scholars program, available to incoming students with high grades and test scores, is partly what drew him to Concordia.
“I often think the school is overlooked,” Teske said. “I would recommend the school to anyone.”
Concordia has the largest MBA program in the state, with roughly 800 students. (Its sole competitor for that title is the University of Whitewater.)
And Concordia’s business school is working to increase its profile, from holding conferences that have drawn national speakers to contests for would-be entrepreneurs.
The business school also is about to move into a $14 million building on its campus in Mequon. And it is establishing a niche in health care administration that ties into the school’s strong focus on training students for careers in health care.
