From professional development opportunities to a Chinooks games, Concordia is bustling with activities in the summer months, even outside of the traditional school year.

If you’re looking for some ways to fill your summer, the list below is your go-to guide on everything Concordia. Some of the events on the list have minimal charges, and some can be enjoyed for free.

Enrichment camps

Speech, Language, Literacy camps (various dates in June and July): For preschoolers seeking to develop speech and language skills.

STEAM camp (various dates in June and July): Two educational camps focusing on science, technology, engineering, and the arts. 

 

 

 

Professional development opportunities

Christian Caregiving Conference (June 3): An intensive four-day conference for those interested in Parish Nursing and Congregational Health ministries.

Literacy Institute (June 14): For educators interested in learning effective routines and strategies for making small-group instruction work.

 

 

 

Lutheran Youth Events

Higher Things Conference (July 16-19): For youth groups to grow in their faith on Concordia’s campus!

LCMS National Youth Gathering (July 11-15): In Minneapolis, Minnesota, for youth to gather with other Lutherans from all over the nation to worship and learn together.

Servants of Christ Conference (July 28): For high school graduates to learn about servant leadership and experience life on campus.

Private College Week (July 8-13): It’s always a good time to visit CUW, but this week is specially set aside for private colleges in Wisconsin.

Sports camps

Soccer camps (throughout June): Lead by the CUW soccer coaching staff, for players from middle school to high school.

Basketball camps (June 24-27): For a variety of ages and levels of play, any athletes looking to improve.

Farm Tough Roller Rink Camp (June 13-16): Housing on campus for prospective college hockey athletes.

Events for anyone

UPAF Ride for the Arts (June 2): For anyone looking to get some exercise and support the arts.

Creation Research Society Conference (July 26-27): Hosted by CUW, this is an opportunity for researchers to present their findings to the Society.

Cedarburg/Grafton Rotary Drum & Bugle Corps (July 3): Musicians from all over the state will stay at CUW and perform at Cedarburg High School.
