Concordia University has named Alaina Thompson its latest Student of the Month.

The CUW faculty have selected Alaina Thompson as the October 2020 Student of the Month.

Alaina is a double major in Nursing and Spanish. She is an absolute joy to have in class. She is always prepared to engage in course discussions, she shows up to class having read all materials, and she displays a genuine curiosity about cultures other than hers.

Ms. Thompson has been active not only in both majors while at CUW but also in pep band. She actively serves in her community and her church and displays the type of development and preparation we hope to instill in our Concordians. Alaina is currently writing a fascinating research project on health disparities in the Latinx community in the United States, which she will present this December.

Alaina was nominated by Prof. Brian Gunderson.
