Two Concordia University Wisconsin students have been honored with the university’s Positive Outcome Program award for an act of good citizenship they performed last month.

Jessica Niemeier and Leah Scheri assisted with a medical emergency on June 9 by calling 911 when a man, a first-time visitor to campus, had a seizure on the bluff. The Mequon police and rescue and campus safety responded to the call and swift arrangements were made to transport the man to the hospital.

Dean of Students Dr. Steve Gerner (pictured center) presented Niemeier (right) and Scheri (left) with a certificate and small gift for their actions.
