Greetings!
Summer can be summed up in one word here in Wisconsin—HOT! In this area we are known for the saying “cooler near the lake” but that has not always been the case so far this summer!
Our offices are also “hot” with the buzz of new programs and continuing education opportunities. We are piloting a few new undergraduate online courses to high school students which they can then transfer to CUW for credit, should they wish to attend Concordia for their college career.
Also exciting is our merger with our sister school Concordia Ann Arbor in Michigan. This means that we will be expanding our course offerings with more opportunities for online learning. In addition we will welcome new faculty members that you may see teaching one of your online courses sometime soon.
It is truly a busy and exciting time here in the Office of Continuing and Distance Education, and there is always work to be done. Even when it’s difficult to step away from my desk, I remember to take some time out, breathe in the air (hot or cool) and look at the wonders around me, including my co-workers. They remind me of God’s many gifts in our lives.
Blessings,
Sarah Pecor
