Concordia University Wisconsin recently made headlines in the Ozaukee News Graphic after once again being recognized as a Military Friendly® Top 10 School and Military Friendly® Top 10 Military Spouse School.
The national designation places Concordia among the country’s top institutions for serving veterans, active-duty military members, and their families. It also marks the fifth consecutive year the university has earned Top 10 recognition, reflecting a sustained commitment to providing military-affiliated students with the resources, support, and community they need to thrive.
The local coverage shines a light on the work taking place every day through Concordia’s Howard J. Bogenschild Veteran and Military Affiliated Resource Center, where students can find academic support, career guidance, camaraderie, and encouragement as they pursue their educational goals.
The recognition aligns closely with Concordia’s mission of helping students develop in mind, body and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world. And speaking of local celebrities, Truman, the Veteran Resource Center’s newest therapy dog, recently enjoyed a moment in the spotlight himself. Truman appeared in a campus clips compilation featured by the LCMS Reporter. While he may not know much about national rankings, he has quickly become a favorite among students who stop by the center for encouragement, conversation, and a friendly wag.
