This week we are once again celebrating National Lutheran Schools Week, and showing our gratitude to the Lutheran primary schools all over the nation. The preschools, elementary schools and high schools are preparing young Christians to enter the mission field and continually proclaim Christ's love throughout their lives.
Here at Concordia we are blessed to have students from Lutheran schools in states across the country. From St. Louis to Rockford, these students were mentored by dedicated teachers and administrators to be witnesses and disciples in every stage of their life.
We are honored to be the continuation of these students’ Lutheran education and hope to build on the strong foundation that began in their home states. Here are some reasons Jada Shaw loves Concordia and why she believes fellow Concordia Lutheran students would love CUW, too.
Jada Shaw is a sophomore Rehab Science-Occupational Therapy major. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne in 2018.
What drew you to Concordia?
I chose CUW because it is a school where I knew I could succeed academically while growing in my faith. The first time I visited CUW every student I passed smiled at me. I could tell that Concordia had a welcoming aMy first time visiting CUW every student I walked by smiled at me, the school as a whole offered such a welcoming atmosphere and family- like community.
Why should someone else from Concordia Lutheran High School come to CUW?
Just like CLHS, CUW is a school with Christ at the center and is somewhere everyone feels like they have a place. The professors really get to know you just like the teachers at CLHS. It’s a place that makes you feel like you never left Fort Wayne!
What is the best event you have attended on campus?
I love getting out and being social! I’d have to say going to all the sporting events and supporting my friends that are on CUW sports teams is one of my favorite things to do on campus.
