It’s national student employment week! Time to choose four of our finest to be named CUW’s student workers of the year.

CUW’s student workforce performs critical roles that keep our university running. On top of being students, these workers serve food in the cafeteria, give tours to prospective students, and perform many, many more jobs that help make Concordia University Wisconsin such a special place.

This week we want to recognize a few student workers who go above and beyond in their positions to share God’s love and serve others. These Student Workers of the Year are nominated by our staff and faculty and selected from approximately 800 employees. The qualifications to be nominated include:

  • Exemplifies a strong, Christ-like character
  • Shows enthusiasm, dedication, initiative, and reliability in service to their department
  • Performs excellent work
  • Willingly goes above and beyond expectations
  • Has a mind-set of service to others

“We’re so proud of all our student workers here at Concordia,” said Cheryl Weber, human resources training and development specialist. “They take pride in getting the job done, they’re never afraid to ask to do more, and they’re always professional when dealing with fellow students, faculty, or staff. They’re a great example of our mission, and I don’t know where we’d be without them!”
