CUW is pleased to honor two outstanding students every month, as this year faculty are selecting an undergraduate student and a graduate student as students of the month. Congrats to Courtney and Cora!
Undergraduate Student of the Month
The CUW Faculty have selected Courtney McCall as the Undergraduate Student of the Month for October. Courtney is a senior double major in Psychology and Environmental Sciences. She shines as an example of dedication to academic excellence and service. Courtney spent a semester in Ireland, and interned with Seal Rescue to gain hands-on experience in environmental stewardship; she is also conducting research using the trail cameras in the CUW woods to monitor invasive species. Her psychology practicum involved aiding homeless youth in Milwaukee, showcasing her commitment to service and community. Currently, Courtney is leading a service-learning project with both departments to foster environmental stewardship in honor of God’s creation. As a Peer Leader in General Psychology, she cultivates a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. Courtney’s exceptional academic achievements and Christian devotion to service make her a deserving Student of the Month.

Graduate Student of the Month
The CUW Faculty have selected Cora J. Quirk as the Graduate Student of the Month for October. Cora is a 4th-year Doctor of Pharmacy student who recently completed an academic rotation with SOP faculty. She updated a current events activity for 1st-year pharmacy students and provided a lecture about imposter syndrome to 2nd-year students. She was actively involved in training students on immunization administration technique and served as a valuable instructor in the patient care lab. While she is balancing a busy final year of pharmacy school, Cora is also caring for patients as a pharmacy technician at Walgreens in Glendale. Cora is always positive, enthusiastic, and demonstrates great flexibility. Cora showed tremendous growth throughout her work with faculty and will be able to apply these skills and knowledge to her future work with patients as a pharmacist!
