Kimberly Masenthin

Kimberly Masenthin (’13), Concordia University’s assistant vice president of Human Resources, says all she has to do is look around campus to see the reasons why she gives with her husband, Timothy (’08), to the Concordia Fund. It’s the students!

“Nothing beats seeing them graduate and the happiness they have accomplishing this,” Kim said. “Great joy comes from giving and sharing!”

By sharing Concordia with others through gifts to the Concordia Fund, more students have a chance to attend a Christian university with the help of scholarships and financial aid.

“Tim and I believe it is important to assist our next generation of workers to find their vocation while attending a Christian university,” Kim said. “Whether that be in the arts (we are huge music lovers in our family), sciences (Tim graduated from here with a computer science degree), or business (I have my MBA from CUW), or any other field of study they want to be in. This is a small way we can give back and help them and their kids hopefully someday, too!”

In addition to supporting the university through gifts, the Masenthins also keep Concordia and its students in their prayers. “We want to support them and pray for them in any way we can,” Kim said. “Giving to the Concordia Fund is one way we can help them and countless other students to fulfill their vocations in a university that cares about them as a person and not just a number.”

She added: “Knowing that the small part we play for the long term can connect with so many others to help with student scholarships, classroom and laboratory technology updates, research, facility upgrades, student/faculty retention and recruitment, along with so much more is very rewarding.”

We hope you will join the Masenthins in supporting the Concordia Fund by becoming inaugural members of the Concordia Cornerstone Society. The CCS is part of an effort to raise awareness of the Concordia Fund’s unrestricted gifts to help impact the immediate needs of our students. By making an unrestricted, cumulative gift of $1,000 or more on a fiscal year basis (July to June) to the Concordia Fund, a donor will become a member of the CCS.
