Concordia’s Civic Chorale and The Chapel Ringers will combine for a joint, spring concert on Sunday, April 23rd at 3:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the university’s Chapel of the Christ Triumphant, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon.

The varied program will include seasonal choral and handbell favorites, according to director Mark Bloedow, an assistant professor of music.  Among the selections will be Chandos Anthem 9 by George Frederic Handel with choir, soloists and chamber orchestra.  Other choral highlights include “How Can I Keep From Singing,” by Karen Thomas, and “Ev’ry Time I feel the Spirit,” arranged by Mark Hayes.

Handbell highlights will be “Joyful, Joyful,” arranged by Cynthia Dobrinski, and “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” sung with the audience in recognition of Earth Day.

Adult tickets for the concert can be purchased at the door for $8, while those 17 and under will be admitted FREE.  For more information on music events, call 262-243-4405 or visit here.
