Concordia University Wisconsin’s fifth annual School of Health Professions Conference on Monday, January 15 will benefit student scholarships, future events and the school’s endowment.


“Grounding Your Practice in Evidence” will be held on the university’s main campus, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, and is open to community members, along with clinical instructors and alumni. Community health professionals, along with faculty members, are keynote presenters. The cost is $65 for community members, $45 for an alumnus or alumna, and $40 for a past or present clinical instructor. On-site registration will cost $75.

Some of the topics planned are: Anatomy of the Face, Throat, and Neck; The Integrative Medicine Treatment Plan; Powerful Tools for Caregivers: Improving Self-Care for Caregivers; Efficacy of Dry Needling/Acupuncture to Reduce Low Level Back Pain; and Therapeutic Applications for Imaging with Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.
