Concordia University Wisconsin’s (CUW) online Master of Science in Education-Literacy degree was recently ranked as being the 23rd best online Master of Reading program nationwide and was the only Wisconsin school to make the list.


The article, entitled The 25 Best Online Master in Reading Degree Programs, was published by TheBestSchools.org. Degree programs and rankings were based on the factors of demonstrated quality, types of courses provided, faculty strength, and the school’s reputation, rankings, and previously received awards.

According to Steven Witt, graduate literacy program director, the program is proud of its award winning distinction.

“The breadth and depth of our online instructors’ knowledge in literacy practices sets us apart as we prepare educators of today to emerge as literacy leaders of tomorrow,” said Witt. “Our online program continues to flourish and grow as we are becoming nationally recognized for our innovative and interactive courses taught by K-12 practitioners and published scholars.”

CUW’s Master of Science in Education-Literacy degree program seeks to help teachers obtain Wisconsin K-12 licenses in addition to Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist certifications.
