Congratulations to CUW’s April Students of the Month, Amaris Wiesneski and Nalee Vang!

CUW is pleased to honor two outstanding students every month, one undergraduate student and one graduate student, as students of the month. Congrats to Amaris and Nalee!

Undergraduate Student of the Month

The CUW Faculty have selected Amaris Wiesneski as the Undergraduate Student of the Month for April. Amaris is a senior Social Work and Justice and Public Policy double major. She was inducted as a Phi Alpha member (social work honor society) based on her high academic achievement. Amaris has also completed the Compassion Care Certificate program, enabling her to bring kindness to campus through our comfort dogs. Not only can she be seen frequently visiting the halls with Zoey and Runner, but she has also been the backbone of the Comfort Dog Club this year as its President. Amaris is someone who walks the walk when it comes to acting on Christian and social work values. Her integrity, humility, generosity, and competence shine through in her work. Amaris works hard to embody CUW’s mission of developing in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.

Amaris was nominated by Professors Nichole Ostrowski and Kari Klatt.

Graduate Student of the Month

The CUW Faculty have selected Nalee Vang as the Graduate Student of the Month for April. Nalee is a Master of Social Work student. She is an exceptional and talented student who consistently enriches her MSW coursework through thoughtful contributions and a positive presence. Nalee is a proactive and engaged learner who actively seeks opportunities to grow professionally and academically. Her dedication, adaptability, and student-centered mindset have had a significant and lasting impact on the ARC, the students she serves, and the broader CUW community.
