The works of 32 Wisconsin artists will be on display at the Concordia University Art Gallery beginning on November 2nd, 2015. The semi-annual Wisconsin Watercolor Society Exhibit will include paintings from nationally recognized watercolor artists who have been juried into the Society. The public is invited to an opening reception on Friday, November 6th from 7 – 9 PM to meet the artists and get an early look at this exciting exhibit.


“We are very proud to host an exhibit of this rigor and quality in our space,” said Dr. Theresa Anne Kenney, director of the Concordia University Art Gallery. “Watercolor artists and aficionados from around the State will visit our campus just to see the latest pieces from this prestigious society.”

Steve Horvath, president of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, will host a gallery conversation on Friday, November 13th at 3 PM in the Concordia University Art Gallery. All are welcome to attend. The Wisconsin Watercolor Society has been in existence since 1952 and is one of the oldest and distinguished art societies in our state.

The Concordia University Art Gallery is located on campus at 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, WI. The Wisconsin Watercolor Society Exhibit will run from Monday, November 2nd through Friday, December 18th. Gallery hours are: Sunday through Friday, 12 – 4 PM and Thursdays, 6 – 8 PM.
