
Stacy Stinson, CPA, MBA, assistant professor of accounting at Concordia University Wisconsin, was elected chair of the 2025-2026 Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA) board of directors this past May.
At a Member Recognition Banquet & Annual Business Meeting on May 9, Stacy Stinson, CPA, MBA, assistant professor of accounting, was elected chair of the 2025-2026 WICPA board of directors.
Before teaching at Concordia, Stinson was a corporate accounting manager and corporate consolidations manager at Harley-Davidson Inc., where she worked over 14 years, along with prior roles at Rockwell Automation, Philip Morris International, and an internship with Ernst & Young LLP. She has served on many of WICPA’s committees during her 20 years of membership and received the WICPA Diversity & Inclusion Impact Award in 2022.
“It’s a great honor for the CUW Batterman School of Business to have accounting professor Stacy Stinson elected as the next board chair of the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs,” says Scott Niederjohn, dean of Batterman School of Business. “This recognition reflects the outstanding work of our School of Business colleagues—both in the classroom and in their professional fields.”
In her acceptance speech at the banquet, Stinson said she was grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the association and advancing its purpose. “The accounting profession is dynamic, evolving, and essential. I’m proud of what we do and look forward to continuing the mission of the WICPA.”
The WICPA board of directors provides strategic governance in accordance with the WICPA strategic plan, mission, and vision. The board ensures the WICPA serves the diverse needs of members, enhances professional competency, promotes the value of members and the profession, advocates on behalf of the profession and builds community among members.
WICPA is the premier professional association for Wisconsin accounting and business professionals, with nearly 7,000 members working in public accounting, industry, government, and education.
