In a memo addressed to students and families, Concordia University Wisconsin outlines the university's comprehensive COVID-19 screening, testing, and tracing strategy in preparation for the launch of the fall semester.

As we prepare for the launch of the full 2020 fall semester, it is important that each student know Concordia University’s COVID-19 screening, testing, and tracing strategy.
Over the past few months, the University has developed a comprehensive COVID-19 campus public health plan that includes daily wellness screening, testing, tracing, and procedures for isolating individuals who are ill and who are/may be exposed. These measures reflect available scientific evidence and are fully compliant with state and local regulations (where required) and the guidance of the CDC. Concordia University will continue to update our protocols as needed based on emerging evidence and changing public health conditions and requirements.
Students are expected to comply with all required health measures.
Medicat Daily Symptom Tracker: Verification of wellness through the Medicat platform must be completed each day by all students, faculty, and staff. Verification of negative symptoms may be required before individuals are permitted to join campus activities or enter classrooms.
Behavioral Expectations: All students must wear face coverings, maintain 6 ft. physical distance from others, avoid gatherings (both on and off campus), adhere to the “no guests” policy, and follow all University policies as instructed. These will be strictly enforced. Violators may lose access to campus and are subject to student disciplinary action.
Completion of the required SafeColleges COVID-19 online learning module. You received information previously about this required module via your campus email account and will continue to receive reminders via email until it is completed.
Influenza Vaccination: Seasonal influenza vaccination is strongly recommended. Vaccines will be available on campus in the fall. Please watch for information about vaccination.
The University strategy also includes comprehensive testing, contact tracing, and isolation protocols. This fall, we must be guided by decisions that support a safe and healthy community for all Concordians. Our self-discipline in adhering to these measures will give us the quickest route to return to the fullness of our in-person community, where we can all thrive together.
