Concordia student of the month

Concordia University has name Lizzy Balsiger as its latest Student of the Month.


Lizzy is a sophomore Speech/Language Pathology student. She consistently participates in class and is a leader among her classmates. In addition to maintaining a high level of engagement in her schoolwork, she is a student worker in the library, NSE team leader, and a peer leader.

She is also the VP of Best Buddies, involved in intramural sports, pre-med club, prison ministry, dance team, and a member of National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA).  Lizzy also works outside of school as a caregiver for a 27 year old man with special needs and is a respite caregiver for individuals with needs in the area.

Lizzy was nominated by Dr. Elizabeth Polzin.

— Madelyne Arrigoni is a senior studying English, Mass Communications, and Photography. She plans to graduate in 2022.
