For the second consecutive year in a row, senior Brittany Johnson has been awarded the Alumni 50th Reunion Scholarship Endowment.
The scholarship has “allowed me to pay my way toward a life of service to Christ in his Church,” Brittany recently said.
After graduation, she plans to work with youth and family at a congregation, eventually becoming a director. Her studies at Concordia University in church ministry have helped to prepare her for her future role. In addition, she grew up as a “church worker kid” and saw firsthand what a life of service to Christ and His Church entails.
She has also been an active participant in ministry on campus during her entire college career. “It has taught me a lot about how to minister to others and serve as a leader,” she said. “I’m most excited about just getting to build relationships with youth and their families, and call the congregation I serve at ‘home.’
“Concordia has given me a great education while also serving as an environment to make life-long connections and friendships.”
The scholarship is funded by alumni who give in honor of their 50th reunion and makes an uncommon impact in the lives of our students.
