Video of Dr. Ferry going over the edge of a downtown building and rappeling 17 stories for Special Olympics
Concordia University Wisconsin is teaming up with the Special Olympics of Wisconsin for the Over the Edge Milwaukee fundraiser taking place on October 6and 7 in downtown Milwaukee. CUW’s President, Dr. Patrick T. Ferry, will rappel 17 stories of the City Center building located at 735 N. Water Street at 3 p.m. on October 6.
This fundraiser is an annual event that takes place in several cities across Wisconsin. CUW raised more than $1,500 for the opportunity to have Dr. Ferry rappel the City Center building. Other participants from other area organizations will also be rappelling alongside Dr. Ferry.
“We are extremely proud to be taking part in such a great event that raises money for a wonderful organization like the Special Olympics of Wisconsin,” says Dr. Ferry.
The public is being welcomed on October 6 and 7 in downtown Milwaukee to encourage those who will be rappelling. Donations will also be accepted by Special Olympics of Wisconsin representatives. For more information on this event, visithttp://www.specialolympicswisconsin.org/overtheedge/index.asp .
