Wesley J. Smith Concordia University Wisconsin’s Center for Bioethics will host lawyer and award-winning author Wesley J. Smith on campus early next month.
Smith, a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism, will speak on the topical subject of physician-assisted suicide and its ethical and legal dilemmas. The title of his presentation is “The Danger of an ‘Undignified’ Bioethics.”
Smith has written extensively about the value of human life. His blog, Human Exceptionalism, is hosted by National Review Online. He will also be available to sign copies of his latest book, “Culture of Death: The Age of ‘No Harm’ Medicine.”
The free event is open to the public. It will be from 2-3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, in the School of Pharmacy building, room 008, on Concordia’s Mequon campus, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive.
Concordia’s Center for Bioethics is a Christian academic center that applies God’s Word to issues involving biology and health care through teaching, service and research. It provides Christ-centered courses, conferences, seminars, information and guidance to students, professionals and the general public.
