Community generosity surpasses goal, fueling student success across campus. Together, you made it happen.
The final buzzer has sounded, and the results are in.
Because of the incredible generosity of the Concordia community, March MATCHness 2026 was a record-breaking success. Together, we didn’t just meet our goal of $90,000—we surpassed it, raising more than $112,000 from 285 donors in support of the Concordia Fund.
“This is what it looks like when a community comes together around something bigger than itself,” said Tim Brever, interim vice president for advancement. “Every gift is an investment in our students and in the mission we share.”
Here are six ways the Concordia community made an impact—and six reasons we say thank you:
No. 1: For showing up from near and far
This year’s giving day brought together donors from 22 states and Canada. No matter the distance, each gift reflected a shared commitment to Concordia’s mission of developing students in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.
No. 2: For leading with generosity
We are especially grateful for the 26 MVP donors who gave $1,000 or more, joining the Concordia Cornerstone Society. Their leadership gifts set the tone and inspired others to step forward in support of our students.
“When leaders step forward, it creates momentum,” Brever said. “That spirit of generosity is contagious, and we saw it throughout the entire day.”
No. 3: For meeting every challenge
Thanks to the collective effort of our donors, every single challenge was met. Every available match was unlocked—magnifying the impact of each gift and extending support even further for Concordia students.
“It was incredible to watch each challenge fall, one after another,” Brever added. “It showed just how committed this community is to making a difference.”
No. 4: For showing enduring alumni pride
A special highlight came from our alumni community. The 1990s decade claimed the Alumni Challenge title, raising $7,155 and demonstrating once again the lasting connection Concordians have to their alma mater.
No. 5: For investing in what matters most
Gifts to the Concordia Fund go directly toward scholarships and the daily work of forming students for lives of purpose. Each contribution helps ensure that students are equipped not only academically but also spiritually and personally to serve wherever God calls them.
No. 6: For being part of Concordia’s story
When we count Concordia’s many blessings, we count you among the greatest.
“Thank you for believing in Concordia students,” Brever said. “Your generosity is shaping lives today and for years to come.”
