At CUW, these students exemplify what it means to be a “servant leader”—to the campus, the community, the church, and the world.

A vibrant and active student faith life is one of the key things that makes Concordia University Wisconsin such a special place. And it wouldn’t be the same without the Campus Ministry Leadership Team, or CMLT. At the heart of it all is the Coordinating Council—a faith-filled team of dedicated student leaders who ensure the multitude of ministries stay, well … coordinated.

This year’s council president is junior Jacob Miller, an aspiring Lutheran educator who hopes to “continue the tradition of making Concordia a place where individuals can grow their faith in Jesus Christ.”

“This year, CMLT is focused on being ‘Free to Serve,’ based on Galatians 5:13-14,” Jacob explains. We are excited to live out that calling through CMLT’s individual ministries, as well as big events on campus such as the Beautiful Feet Mission Conference and a Feed My Starving Children event.”

How can the rest of us help, you may ask? For one thing, “Please continue to pray for the CMLT members and for the ministry that will happen at Concordia this year,” Jacob says. “Soli Deo Gloria!”

The 2025-26 Campus Ministry Leadership Team is installed by Rev. Jonathon Bakker, CUW campus pastor, during a recent Chapel service.
