Three Concordians are en route to New Orleans for the five-day LCMS Youth Gathering to meet you!
The LCMS Youth Gathering, held July 19-23, 2025, is a venue for thousands to come together and join in the fellowship and celebration of Jesus Christ through education, worship, and more. These three student ambassadors are in the limelight this month as they prepare to hit the ground running in New Orleans. Duties will include helping out at the exhibit booth, answering questions, sharing their CUW stories, engaging with Gathering participants, and much more. So let’s meet them and hear their stories!
Full-circle

Emma Kaiser, business communication major, says she’s excited to see like-minded individuals gathering for a Christ-centered cause.
Born and raised in Michigan, this will be her third time attending a Gathering event. Both of her parents are Concordia Ann Arbor alumni, and she feels grateful to be following in their footsteps. Most importantly, Emma feels very honored and blessed to be able to represent the University, which she adores and will be graduating from in spring 2026.
Why did Emma become a student ambassador?
Her faith was the reason behind becoming a student ambassador, which CUW has helped grow and mature over time. She sees this opportunity as a chance to give back to the CUW community.
“To go from being poured into to now pouring out is a humbling and full-circle moment for me,” says Emma. “I’m really looking forward to all the connections, the worship, the laughter, and the growth that’s coming.”
If you see Emma around, don’t be shy … “I’d love to say ‘hi’ and hear your story. Tell me how Jesus has made a difference in your life, and let’s encourage each other on this journey.”
Purpose-led

Nina Seeger, social work major, will be graduating spring 2026.
She is the daughter of LCMS Pastor Carl Seeger and resides in Edgerton, Wis. This will be her first time participating in a Gathering event. Like with most new experiences, Nina was hesitant at first and felt uncertain about attending. However, she is looking forward to meeting new people with whom she can engage in meaningful conversations about faith, purpose, and education.
Why did Nina become a student ambassador?
As a student ambassador, she is choosing to serve Concordia, and is excited to go connect with others by sharing her love of Christ and the joy of the CUW community.
“Through prayer and reflection, I realized that placing my full trust in God was necessary. This opportunity was far greater than my comfort; it was a calling to serve, support, and connect with the youth of the LCMS, whose faith journeys and futures I care about deeply.
Nina is excited for the Mass Events and will be prepared to engage with you through worship and fellowship.
“Surrendering my doubts allowed me to approach this experience with a renewed sense of purpose.”
Mission-driven

Micah Yurk, psychology major, is also graduating spring 2026.
From Grafton, Wis., he chose CUW because it was the place he felt would help him grow his relationship with Jesus and provide a great education. From the amount of time his professors have invested in him, to the amazing community of students, he has felt constant love and support.
Why did Micah become a student ambassador?
He chose to become a student ambassador because he wanted to help bring the light of Christ to the Youth Gathering. “I want to show youth how much God loves them, and how much they will experience that love at CUW.”
Micah will be ready to meet you. Regardless on how busy these places can become, with so many people praising Jesus, he is ready to have fun and answer your questions.
“Faith led me to Concordia, and I want to show others how much they can grow their faith at CUW.”
