Congratulations to CUW’s December Students of the Month, Amber Moser and Gabriela (Gabbi) Gaziano!
CUW is pleased to honor two outstanding students every month, as this year faculty are selecting an undergraduate student and a graduate student as students of the month. Congrats to Amber and Gabbi!
Undergraduate Student of the Month
The CUW Faculty have selected Amber (Fietzer) Moser as the Undergraduate Student of the Month for December. Amber is a Biomedical Science major who plans to go to medical school. She has maintained an extremely high GPA while taking difficult science classes, serving the CUW community, and serving in the community at large. She has conducted undergraduate research with Dr. Joe Fisher investigating leukemia disease mechanisms and performing genome editing. She is a member of the prestigious Advocates in Medicine Pathways program (AMP) through the Medical College of Wisconsin. In addition, she has served both SGA and the Premed club for 1.5 years. Amber has also volunteered extensively in the community, including Camp Luther, Advocates of Ozaukee, and Habitat for Humanity. Amber is a top-notch student and an even better human being who believes in and lives the mission of CUW.

Graduate Student of the Month
The CUW Faculty have selected Gabbi Gaziano as the Graduate Student of the Month for December. Gabbi is a second-year graduate student in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). She is an outstanding student who consistently applies academic content to clinical practice. In addition to her near perfect GPA, Gabbi organized the CUW National Student Speech Language and Hearing Association chapter Walk for Apraxia (an often-debilitating speech disorder in children) team. As captain, Gabbi led CUW to be the highest fundraising team in the country two years in a row. She is also a member of CUW’s softball team, continuing her athletic participation into grad school, which is extremely challenging. Gabbi is an exceptional student, servant leader, and future clinician who embodies the mission of CUW in mind, body, and spirit.
