Meet the team that leads the teams that lead scores of students in the all-important work of campus ministry at Concordia. Soli Deo gloria!

“Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

So writes the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 12:27 (NIV). And so it is here at Concordia University Wisconsin, where each one of us—in our own way, using our own gifts—is involved in doing Christ’s work.

“While our official Campus Ministry Leadership Team is made up of about 50 students, the whole Concordia community—especially all the students—is part of the team that serves,” said Rev. Steve Smith, CUW campus pastor. “So while we installed the CMLT members officially in Chapel, it is really a call for all of us to be renewed in our service to Christ in the Church and the world.”

More than 40 members of the CMLT were commissioned by Pastor Steve Smith during the regular morning Chapel service on Friday, Sept. 1.

Harrison Hulse (’24), this year’s CMLT president, said he’s excited about seeing what God has in store as they look to Him to make straight their paths this coming school year.

“I’m blessed and honored to be the president of such an incredible team of student leaders,” Harrison said. “In just the past few weeks during our preparations, I have already seen the drive and dedication evident in everyone, and I am simply bubbling with excitement to see how God harnesses that determination to proclaim His word of life and salvation here on campus and in the community.”

To God be the glory!
