Mid-year commencement exercises will be held in Concordia University’s R. John Buuck Field House, 12800 North Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, on Saturday, December 16 at 1:30 p.m.

A total of 601 candidates will receive degrees, including 92 Master of Science in Education majors, 71 MBA students, and 241 undergraduate students. The Rev. Bart Day, president and chief executive officer of The Lutheran Church Extension Fund, St. Louis. Missouri, will deliver the commencement address.

Two awards are customarily presented in December – for superior achievement in the field of teacher education, and for outstanding performance as an educator and a student in graduate education studies.

Earlier that morning, a traditional baccalaureate service will be held in The Chapel of the Christ Triumphant at 10 a.m., honoring Lutheran teacher, parish music and lay minister candidates. The Rev. Dr. Timothy Maschke, longtime theology professor at Concordia University Wisconsin, will give the baccalaureate address.
