Concordia student of the month

Madeline M. Martens, a senior Computer Science and Mathematics double major, has been named November's Student of the Month at Concordia University Wisconsin.


Madeline M. Martens is a senior Computer Science and Mathematics double major. In addition to achieving a very high GPA, Madie is extremely involved both at Concordia and in the community. She has held a variety of different paid and unpaid positions, including: co-leader for the Haven prayer team; member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society; president of GRACE (CUW’s women in computing group) in charge of planning and leading events; teaches Sunday school at Hales Corners Lutheran church; and, works for the CS and math departments.
This past summer she worked as a STEM instructor and web developer for a small Minneapolis company teaching children how to code, make video games, and design websites. 
 
Madie was nominated by Dr. Robert Wahl.
