The Department of Communication is taking a look at recent graduates to see what they're doing. Jen Sheridan ‘20 recently started working as the Outreach Coordinator at Bellis.

Jen Sheridan ‘20 used a mutual LinkedIn connection to help land her current job as Outreach Coordinator at Bellis in Minnesota. According to their website, Bellis is a non-profit focusing on bringing adoption education and awareness into schools and communities.

As Outreach Coordinator, Jen has several important responsibilities. One is overseeing the school outreach program. This includes sending more than 60 Bellis volunteers into Minnesota’s high schools to share their stories about adoption and redefine what it means.

Jen also organizes fundraising and events, including new ways to connect with donors and volunteers due to COVID-19. She is in charge of Bellis’ monthly newsletter and social media content, and is currently assisting in developing a comprehensive marketing plan.

Connecting with volunteers, however, provides Jen the most satisfaction.

“My favorite part of the position is getting to know our volunteers. Each of their stories is simply amazing. Each adoption story is unique and very impactful,” she says.
