Hallie Barteau earned her BSN from CUW in 2023. In summer 2024, she was appointed to the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin Nurses Political Action Committee.

The Wisconsin Nurses Political Action Committee is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Nurses Association. In this role, Hallie advocates for nurses in Wisconsin by raising awareness about the needs of the profession and through political involvement. In January 2024, she also began serving as a Public Policy Council Member for the Wisconsin Nurses Association.

Hallie is currently employed at Froedtert Hospital, a position she landed soon after she graduated from Concordia. A registered nurse, she works inpatient care on a surgical specialties progressive care unit.

During her time at Concordia, she was an active member of the National Student Nurses’ Association. In summer 2022, she served as a congressional intern in Washington, D.C. for the United States Senate.

“Concordia’s faculty and student organizations promoted opportunities to get involved in the broader nursing community,” Hallie says. “These empowered me to use my voice for positive change in health care through policy.”
