CUW faculty selected Elizabeth "Beth" Goebel as Concordia's Student of the Month for October.

According to her nominator, “Beth is an excellent example of a whole scholar who strives for excellence in mind, body, and spirit. She not only succeeds academically, but is a positive role model in Christian character. She is a student-veteran who has sacrificed a significant portion of her life to serve our country. I commend her for her incredible willingness to put the needs of fellow Americans above her own.

Her discipline and respect for others are also evident in the classroom both as part of her academic work and interactions with classmates and faculty. Beth’s kind and genuine demeanor creates a more positive, welcoming classroom environment for her fellow students. Her deep engagement with course content is also well-appreciated in her introductory level General Psychology class.”

— Madelyne Arrigoni is a senior studying English, Mass Communications, and Photography. She plans to graduate in 2022.
