Concordia’s School of Pharmacy early assurance pathway program provides high school seniors a direct pathway to obtaining their PharmD.

School of Pharmacy’s Early Assurance numbers rise

Concordia School of Pharmacy has received a record number of applications for their Early Assurance pathway program with a 92% increase in applications submitted. “We are extremely proud of the collective recruitment efforts between pharmacy admissions and undergraduate admissions. They’ve been able to spread the word on the value of Concordia’s pharmacy Early Assurance pathway program,” said Kaylan Gaines, Director of Recruitment & Admissions at Concordia’s School of Pharmacy.

Early Assurance makes a difference

Many high school seniors enter college undecided on what major they want to study or career to pursue. That’s not true for Concordia’s Early Assurance pathway students in the School of Pharmacy. In fact, it’s the opposite.

“Concordia’s Early Assurance program was one of the major reasons I chose Concordia to continue my studies. [This program] allows me to both save money on tuition and graduate sooner. I want to be a pharmacist to improve the lives of others through the miracles of medicine. Through this program, and with the support from the Concordia family, I know I can make that dream a reality,” said Ryan Blobe. Blobe is a Concordia University Wisconsin Pre-Pharmacy student and the Pre-Pharmacy Club Co-President.

What is the program like?

The Early Assurance program is designed for high school seniors to have a direct pathway to becoming a pharmacist. In as few as 6 years, students can complete their PharmD, all while immersing themselves in pharmacy and the strong school culture. Program participants tend to take 2-3 years of Pre-Pharmacy coursework at Concordia before transitioning to doctorate level courses at the School of Pharmacy.
