Voting by mail for the 2020 US elections

As this year’s election day approaches, Student Life wants to provide some helpful information to all CUW students who wish to vote.


Online registration closes Oct. 14 but in person registration is available at the City Clerk’s Office or on Nov. 3 at your polling station.

Wisconsin students who live on campus:

  • Register to vote at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ using your student address at 700 W Highland Rd, Mequon WI 53092
  • Request an absentee ballot OR
  • Join Concordia students on voting day in Mequon to cast your vote*
  • Students must be prepared to show a valid WI State ID card at the polling station

Students from out of state who want to vote in Wisconsin:

  • Stop in the Library during regular business hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from October 12th to November 2nd to obtain a free temporary student voter ID card
  • Register to vote at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ (deadline – October 14 for online registration)

OR plan to register in person at Mequon City Hall or at the polling station on November 3rd

  • Join Concordia students on voting day in Mequon to cast your vote*
  • Students must be prepared to show their new temporary student ID card at the polling station

Students from out of state who want to vote in their home state:

Commuter students:

  • Go to https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ to register and to find your polling station
  • Students must be prepared to show proof of current address

*The Freddy Shuttle will pick up and drop off throughout the day on November 3rd beginning at 7:00 a.m. until polls close at 8:00 p.m. The Shuttle will take students from the Field House to the polling station located in Mequon. For students who plan to drive themselves or with a friend, the address is:  Unitarian Church North, 13800 N Port Washington Rd.

If you have questions, Student Life will have representatives at a table outside the cafe for the next three weeks on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
