Concordia University Wisconsin has announced its latest Student of the Month recipient.

Marta R. Peterson, a senior business scholar with majors in management and marketing and an MBA concentration of innovation and entrepreneurship, has received the award for the month of September.

Peterson is the president of Alpha Chi, is a Haven co-coordinator and also sings in the Concordia Civic Chorale. She was recently awarded the Sigma Beta Delta’s Fellowship scholarship – only one of 11 students recognized throughout the United States.

Peterson, who was nominated by Professor Jane Bishop, is a member of small group Bible studies. She serves a work study in the School of Business Administration and she coordinates several events for the university. Those who nominated her say her caring, gentle nature truly embodies the CUW mission of providing service to the Church and the world.
