The CUW faculty have selected Lily Kate Burreson as Student of the Month for April.
Lily Kate is a senior social work with a women’s studies minor. Her academics are exemplary; she has earned high honors every semester (Scholastic Honors List), and she is a member of the Alpha Chi and Phi Alpha Honor Societies.
In her time at Concordia, Lily Kate has served in numerous leadership roles, including president of the Student Social Work Organization, participant in The Bridge Initiative, Haven, and the Comfort Dog Ministry.
Lily Kate lives out her faith and Concordia identity in her internship role at The International Institute of Wisconsin where she works on resettling refugees who have recently come to Wisconsin as a result of the war in Ukraine.
Lily Kate was nominated by Dr. Stephanie Gudet.
— Madelyne Arrigoni is a senior studying English, Mass Communications, and Photography. She plans to graduate in 2022.
