The Country in the Burg music festival on August 28th will provide students with something to anticipate as they begin the fall semester.

The festival offers students the opportunity to connect with friends after summer break, meet new classmates and ease back into campus life.

The festival is held in Cedar Creek Park and features a lineup of country music artists, along with food trucks and local vendors. Whether students are longtime country music fans or simply looking for a lively atmosphere, the event is a great way to kick off the fall semester. Its proximity to the campus also makes it convenient for students to attend without having to worry about long travel or complicated planning.

The transition from the freedom of summer to academic responsibilities can be difficult for many students. With Country in The Burg being held the first weekend that CUW students are back on campus, the festival helps create a sense of balance. It reminds students that college life includes many opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment outside the hustle and bustle of classes.

“It’s something my family and I are looking forward to this year. My family comes up from Illinois for the festival weekend, but it’s something we have enjoyed even before I started here at CUW,” Abigail Marquardt stated.

Events like Country in The Burg highlight the vibrant and lively community students belong to. The festival is a chance to start the year on a positive note, build friendships, and create memories right at the beginning of the semester.
