Undergraduate Student of the Month

The CUW Faculty have selected Silas Temme as the Undergraduate Student of the Month for April. Silas is a senior double-majoring in Computer Science and Philosophy. As a participant in the Computer Science Scholar program, he will receive his Masters in Computer Science at the same time. He is an enthusiastic student with a sincere desire to integrate scientific knowledge with Christian wisdom. He has thrived in highly challenging classes, like Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Logic, and Philosophy of Mind. His senior thesis argues that technology can have a major impact on moral agency. Outside of class, Silas works at the IT help desk and helps lead evening services on campus. He is involved with many student organizations and is an enthusiastic supporter of Computer Science Club, Philosophy Club, Debate Club, Hackathon Club and Organ Club. He has also sung in the Chapel Choir since Fall 2022.
Silas continually strives for excellence in mind, body and spirit.
