Sodexo’s partnership with Grubhub launched its food mobile ordering services at Concordia University Wisconsin’s campus at the start of the Spring 2026 semester.
HR Assistant of Sodexo at CUW, Melissa Rentflejs, said Sodexo wanted to give students a new dining experience, with quicker and smoother service, and the chance to use meal swipes in mobile ordering.
Grubhub at CUW launched on January 5 with its services offered at the Coop and Landing.
“At first, there was some questioning because the Everyday app wasn’t the most successful here. But we overcame those hurdles extremely fast because of the nationally known name,” Operations Manager of Sodexo at CUW, Jennifer Borowski said.
According to Borowski, mobile ordering in the Everyday app scored very low in their last customer satisfaction survey because students could not use meal swipes.
“We heard you, and this is what we did to change it and make it better. With Grubhub, you can use your card if you want to, but you can use points and meal swipes,” Borowski said.
According to Rentflejs, with Grubhub, order pickups are available within ten minutes, making it very easy to grab lunch on the way from class to class.
“I was running late and didn’t want my friend to have to wait for me, so that is why I downloaded it,” CUW senior Emily Brown said. “Then it really stood out to me because I was one of the first ten people, so I got a free tote bag with a shirt, pins, and a portable straw.”
According to Rentflejs, Grubhub was introduced to Sodexo-CUW in August 2025. Then consisted of meetings and testing until winter break.
“Sodexo has had a partnership with Grubhub for many years. So, we had started looking at it, presented it to Concordia, our partner, and they thought it was a great idea,” Borowski said.
“If you log in with your CUW email, the system identifies you as a college student, a member of the community here. The entirety of your time at Concordia, you get perks. There are $0 delivery fees at restaurants in the area,” Borowski said.
According to Borowski, Grubhub will eventually be available at the Nest. Students might not see it this semester, but it will come in the future.
