CUW Theatre is seeking actors, student directors, and writers for the Spring semester’s productions!


THE PLAYS: “My Funny Valentine”, a 24 hr, fun-filled comedy play festival; “War of the Worlds”, a radio play; “Pandemic Tales”- original monologues and scenes that speak to life during the pandemic from a range of perspectives; “Disney Sing-a-Thon”- a musical showcase of Disney songs

HOW TO AUDITION: Submit a short video of two contrasting monologues or a monologue and a song (if interested in the Disney show). If auditioning for the Disney showcase only, please submit a video of you singing a song, preferably from a musical. Email the video to Prof. Lori Woodall (Theatre) by Friday, Feb 5th. All are welcome, and you do not have to have prior stage experience to join us.

WRITERS: Seeking writers to write short sketches for “My Funny Valentine” and “Pandemic Tales”. You can email Prof. Woodall with your interest.

DIRECTORS: No previous directing experience needed, just have fun working with fellow students on very short monologues and scenes for “My Funny Valentine”. Contact Prof. Woodall with interest.

WHEN: “Valentine” will be the sole live show on Saturday, Feb 13th, in the Todd Wehr. Rehearsals are just one day only, beginning Friday, Feb 12th. “War of the Worlds” will rehearse and record in March, “Pandemic Tales” will rehearse and record in April, and “Disney” will rehearse in April and be filmed May 1st to stream live.
